The Maple Sugar Festival makes its grand return

The maple sugar festival is back in full force to mark the 30th anniversary of the ARP: a sweet celebration not to be missed!

To mark our 30th anniversary in 2024, the ARP invites you to a commemorative event: the return of the traditional maple sugar festival. In partnership with Parc de la ferme Dalton located in the Rivière-Blanche district of Gatineau, we invite you to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Parc de la ferme Dalton operates a 400-tree maple grove and crafts its maple syrup in a traditional, artisanal manner, collecting the maple sap buckets by hand. The parc's team then transforms this precious syrup into maple taffy, pouring it over crushed ice, reminiscent of the tradition from years past when snow was plentiful.

The maple sugar festival will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Central Park, Brussels Street, in the heart of the Plateau. Each maple taffy will be offered at the price of $2, while hot chocolate and coffee will be available for only $1 each.

We encourage you to don your finest plaid shirts and join us in celebrating this event under the spring sun.
