Young entrepreneurs’ market shines on tomorrow!

Creativity and Youthful Ambition at the 2nd Edition of the Plateau's Young Entrepreneurs Market

On June 7, the Agora du Plateau came alive with energy and imagination as nearly 70 young entrepreneurs, aged 5 to 17, proudly showcased their talents at the second edition of the Plateau's Young Entrepreneurs Market, organized by the Plateau Residents' Association (ARP).

This inspiring community event was part of the 12th annual Grande journée des petits entrepreneurs, a province-wide celebration that brought together more than 225 youth markets across Quebec.

From handmade jewelry and baked goods to games and accessories, our young participants wowed visitors with their creativity, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit.

To support and recognize their efforts, the ARP partnered with the Gatineau Chamber of Commerce to host an excellence contest based on Le Parcours des Petits entrepreneurs criteria. Local business leaders acted as judges and mentors, offering encouragement and valuable feedback.

Congratulations to our 2025 award winners:

  • Best Young Business - Réussites Pédagogiques
  • Best Small Business - Tapioca Twist
  • Best Presentation - La Plume Magique
  • Jury's Favourite - Pit Stop

Winners and Rally participants received a variety of prizes, including beautiful custom-engraved wooden plaques by L'Atelier collaboratif de l'Outaouais, made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners.

More than just a market, this event gave young people a chance to grow their confidence, communication skills, and perseverance, real-life tools they'll carry into the future.

Want to join in next time? Registration for the 2026 edition will open in the spring on the Grande journée des petits entrepreneurs website.
