Even though the snow is still holding on, spring is finally arriving, and it's time to give our Plateau a fresh start! The Plateau Big Cleanup 2026 is getting ready, and we invite all residents to join us in cleaning streets, parks, streams, and bike paths. After a long winter, it's time to pick up the litter that has accumulated and make our neighbourhood a pleasant place for everyone.
This year's cleanup will take place from April 18 to May 3, with an official kickoff at the library on April 18. It will be a great opportunity to come together, celebrate the return of warmer days, and distribute cleanup kits to those who need them.
Over the years, one issue keeps coming up in our neighbourhood conversations: litter around community mailboxes. To help reduce unwanted advertising, you can place a "No Flyers" sticker on your mailbox. To get one, simply email grandmenageduplateau@gmail.com with your full name, phone number, and address. We will contact you to arrange pickup, and stickers will also be available at the kickoff event. For more information, you can visit the Canada Post website.
