New date for styrofoam collection

New date for styrofoam collection

Styrofoam, while useful, remains an environmental challenge as it takes hundreds of years to decompose. Staying true to its commitment, ARP will hold a new collection on May 31 at noon.

Whether you've accumulated styrofoam or want to do some cleaning, several drop-off points will be available in the neighborhood. ARP also invites community members to contribute by becoming a drop-off point or offering their help as volunteers.

Reminder for 2025: Since January 1, styrofoam food trays can be placed directly in your blue recycling bin. This change will make recycling easier and help reduce waste sent to landfills.

However, this only applies to food trays. Styrofoam used for packaging (e.g., electronics, furniture) must still be dropped off at the ecocenter or brought to special collections like the one on May 31.
