La Rose des Vents – A collective community garden

First Summer of Sharing and Solidarity

This spring, a brand-new collective community garden was born in the Plateau neighborhood: La Rose des Vents. Located in the northern part of the neighborhood, in Parc du Shamal.

The official opening took place on June 20th, with Karyn Vaucher, president of the ARP, and city councillor Bettyna Bélizare in attendance. It was a wonderful moment to celebrate the collaboration between the municipality and local residents. Together, we've created an urban agricultural space that is ecological, social, and inclusive.

Although it's new, the garden is already much more than just an urban farming site--it's a place for meeting, sharing knowledge, and celebrating community life. It promotes self-sufficiency, mutual support, and togetherness.

Coming soon: workshops for kids... and moments of sharing for all!

This summer, La Rose des Vents is offering a series of free activities for children, to discover the garden while having fun. Parents, grandparents, neighbors, and curious visitors are of course welcome to join in, participate, or simply enjoy the garden's friendly atmosphere.

Whether you have a green thumb or not, it's the perfect opportunity to meet the community, explore the garden, and help this beautiful collective project grow.

Want to get involved, take part in a workshop, or just stop by to say hello? We'd love to welcome you. Follow our updates on our Facebook page Le jardin de la rose des vents, or email us at [email protected].

We still have 3 spots available, but even once those are filled, there will still be ways to get involved--leading beginner gardening workshops, donating time or materials, or joining in the open workshops.

Together, let's make La Rose des Vents a vibrant, nourishing, and unifying space--one that reflects the spirit of our neighborhood!
