A message from Bettyna Bélizaire, city councillor
Dear Plateau residents,
I'm delighted to share with you this 3rd edition of the Plateau district newsletter. It bears witness to a particularly dynamic period for our neighborhood. The Plateau is in full effervescence, marked by structuring projects that will shape our community for years to come.
Major advances are taking shape: the future multifunctional sports complex that promises to enrich our community life, the new elementary school that will relieve the pressure on our schools, and the ambitious tramway project that will revolutionize the way we get around. These developments are accompanied by significant improvements to our infrastructure, such as the redevelopment of Rue de Bruxelles and the planned widening of Cehmin Pink.
The transformation of our neighborhood is not limited to major projects. We're also seeing positive changes in our daily lives, from modernized waste management to improved road safety. The new bicycle link on rue du Prado and improvements to public transit are testimony to our commitment to more sustainable mobility.
I would particularly like to highlight the 30th anniversary of the Association des résidents du Plateau, a pillar of our community life that continues to enrich our neighborhood through its unwavering commitment. This celebration reminds us of the importance of citizen involvement in building a vibrant, supportive community.
All these developments are part of a clear vision: to make the Plateau a livable, accessible and dynamic neighborhood where growth is planned and thoughtful. If we can be proud of the progress we've made, it's thanks to your active participation and invaluable contributions that guide our actions.
I invite you to browse through this newsletter to find out more about these projects that are shaping the future of our neighborhood. As always, I look forward to hearing your questions, suggestions and concerns.
Best regards!
Bettyna Bélizaire
