On September 24, 2024, the Gatineau City Council approved a residential construction project comprising a maximum of 780 units south of Boulevard du Plateau (Phase 70 C). This residential project includes six detached multi-family buildings of 7 to 10 stories, each containing 100 or more units.

According to information obtained by the ARP, this project will feature "distinctive architecture" and plans include the development of a "central area with a unique composition of landscaping and plantings" as well as the planting of 175 new trees along Boulevard du Plateau within the project.

The project also includes the transfer of land along Boulevard du Plateau to allow for mobility improvement measures on the boulevard and the installation of traffic lights in front of the project's western access.

The project plans for a total of 10% affordable housing units (approximately 76 units). It will offer about 813 parking spaces for vehicles, including 689 indoor parking spaces and 70 bicycle parking spaces. The project also includes 8 car-sharing parking spaces and 17 spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.

Construction is expected to span over a four-year period and should begin in the fall of 2024.

It's worth noting that this project is adjacent to the future four-rink multi-sport complex.
